INITIAL CONSULTATION
At no charge, Logical Path Advisors, LLC (LPA) will meet with you to discuss your business and the challenges that it faces, while giving you the opportunity to evaluate us. During this meeting, we look forward to acquiring a general understanding of your business, which will enable us to establish whether our services offer you a real potential value. When we agree that involvement by LPA will be beneficial, we can proceed to arrange for one or more of the following services:
SERVICE OPTIONS
Complete Business Analysis
LPA will embark on a thorough analysis of your company, subject to a confidentiality agreement. This will involve observing most (often all) departments. Furthermore, we believe that a full picture can only be obtained through extensive discussions with you and your employees, along with a review of company financial information. After assessing the financial picture, we proceed to an in-depth look at sales, purchasing, and inventory management, and observe how the information systems are being utilized in these areas. Depending on the scope of the review and the size of the company, this review will take 1-3 weeks, with a fee to be negotiated depending upon the anticipated length of the engagement. LPA’s principals, as former business owners, are keenly aware of the anxiety involved in opening up one’s operations to the extent outlined above, however, your cooperation and assistance in providing information is critical to the success of the project. Please be assured that we recognize and are committed to the need for care and confidentiality while working with your company and its employees. After the onsite analysis is complete, LPA will present you with a detailed written report of our findings and conclusions along with recommendations for the future. We will make ourselves available to you for discussion of the report and its contents; you may decide after reviewing the report that you would like greater involvement by LPA in implementing changes to your operation. It would be our pleasure to work out appropriate arrangements at that time.
Focused Analysis of a Single Business Function
In order to minimize the expense and time involved, you may request that LPA focus on a single area or business function within your operation. The analysis will be the same as that described above for a complete overview, however, the focus will be limited to those areas that you specify. Please be advised that while there may be a cost and time advantage to this approach, especially if you know which areas are most in need of attention, it is subject to the disadvantage that many seemingly distinct areas are in fact closely intertwined. For example, on the surface there may be an issue with sales not pricing for sufficiently high gross margins, while beneath the surface the real issue may be related to how purchasing carries out its procurement function. Nonetheless, LPA recognizes that a Complete Business Analysis may not be necessary or appropriate for all customers, and therefore makes this more narrow option available. Typically, the Single Business Function analysis will take one week or less to complete.
